Now Boarding Set to Reopen for Pet Care February 15 New owner is ready to take the beloved facility on to its next chapter
MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 1, 2021 -- Now Boarding, the Twin Cities’ premier pet boarding facility, located near Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, is reopening with a new owner. Adam Jennings bought the business from the Animal Humane Society in January 2021. Operations of the facility will resume on February 15, 2021.
“The Animal Humane Society built something amazing with Now Boarding,” said Jennings. “It was more than a business. It was a community of animal lovers. Although I’m taking over ownership, I want to build upon the legacy they established.”
Now Boarding closed in July 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic led to a decrease in air travelers boarding their pets. Jennings has already hired back 15 staff members from the old team with the goal of hiring more as the company grows.
“People are what makes an organization great. Now Boarding had an amazing team that was passionate about pet care. They have pride in their work and love their jobs. That’s why I’m bringing back as many staff members as I can,” said Jennings.
Animal Humane Society (AHS) has worked with Jennings and his team to facilitate a smooth transition. “Although we are sad to conclude our involvement in Now Boarding, we are thrilled that Adam and his team will continue to serve the pets and people of Minnesota,” said AHS President and CEO Janelle Dixon. “We wish the new Now Boarding team the best in their exciting new endeavor.”
Now Boarding has new Facebook and Instagram channels where customers can stay up to date on the latest news from the facility. The new Now Boarding website is live, and customers are able to book appointments and schedule daycare online. The facility will offer 24/7 boarding, daycare, baths, and nail trims for dogs and cats starting February 15. They will also offer parking and shuttle services to customers who are flying in or out of Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport.
